Why does tnt skip episodes of supernatural

It's a world where two dudes in flannel, with a trunk full of weapons and a few allies, can save us from it all. That's all to say that, though Supernatural is rooted in reality — and specifically the familial relationship between Sam and Dean — it often lives in the fantastical.

As a recent season 15 episode pointed out, Sam and Dean don't do normal. They don't get colds. Their car doesn't break down. Unless, of course, God is mad at them. Because, oh yeah, they know God. Back in Supernatural 's first season, as audiences were just getting to know what the show was all about, they watched episode after episode of Sam and Dean Winchester battling the things that go bump in the night.

They took out the things that kids nightmares are made of. But, in episode 15 of the season, they took out the thing that adults' nightmares are made of. In arguably one of the series' darkest hours, Sam is kidnapped and Dean, naturally, snaps into detective mode.

He needs to figure out what "thing" took his brother so that he can grab his holy water or his silver bullets and kill it. But it's not that simple.

Or rather, it's more simple than that. As the episode goes on, it becomes apparent that Sam and Dean are dealing with their scariest adversary yet: humans. As Dean says in the episode, "Demons I get. People are crazy. Building a show in its first season means laying the foundation for what viewers can expect. And after 14 episodes of Sam and Dean battling ghosts, gods, and shapeshifters, "The Benders" felt like a punch to the gut.

As Dean reminds Sam, if they don't keep living, then their sacrifices were for nothing. Sam takes that to heart and shoves a piece of pie in Dean's face, something he says he's wanted to do "for a very long time.

Cut to our case of the week: A family of four is attacked by two guys wearing skull masks. The father is killed, and the mother's tongue is removed. The two sons? Sam and Dean — sorry, Agents Kripke and Singer!!! When they hear about the mom's tongue, they whip out dad's journal!!! Apparently, this reminds them of an old case John worked back in the day. Dean's best guess?

Vamp mimes! Together, the brothers track down the vamps, kill one, and interrogate another for the location of the nest. Turns out it's at a barn, where Sam and Dean free the two young boys before facing off against four vamps Jenny, from the show's first-ever vampire episode, "Dead Man's Blood," in season 1, is back!

But not for long because Sam decapitates her. In one final fight scene, the Winchesters once again come out winners. One of the vamps shoved Dean up against a post in the barn, and when he did, he shoved a very large piece of rebar into Dean's back. Instantly, Dean knows it's bad.

When Sam starts to go for help, Dean asks his brother to "stay with me. Dean very quickly realizes this is it for him. And he tells his brother it's okay. I've always looked up to you.

When we were kids, you were so damn smart. You never took any of dad's crap. I never knew how you did that. Dean tells Sam that he's always been stronger than him, and then, he brings in the pilot callback, telling Sam that the night he went to get him at school "when dad hadn't come back from his hunting trip," he stood outside his door for hours because he wasn't sure if Sam was going to tell him to "get lost or get dead.

Dean continues, "I didn't know what I would've done if I didn't have you. Cause I was so scared, I was scared because when it all came down to it, it was always you and me. It's always been you and me. Sam asks his brother not to leave, but Dean assures him he can do this alone, even if he doesn't want to.

Dean tells his younger brother that he'll always be with him as he keeps fighting. He then asks his "baby brother" to tell him it's okay. Placing his hand on Dean's, Sam tells his brother that he can go now. And with a "bye, Sam" and one final man tear, Dean dies, his head resting on Sam's shoulder. Sam gives Dean a proper hunter's funeral, wakes up the next day, and keeps hunting. Someone from Austin, Texas — get it?

Cut to Dean in heaven, where Bobby!! Bobby explains that he's not in a memory because Jack fixed heaven. Possessed porcelain dolls pull an R-rated Toy Story when Sam and Dean pay them a visit at the very old and haunted inn they call home. Susan runs the joint and lives there seemingly with her two little girls. The other is a spirit that has taken the form of an imaginary friend that has redrum on her mind.

Now, he stalks the living in search of someone to punish for his fate. And who is to blame for this fresh hell? Dean, when he decides to visit an old flame who calls this evil place home for both her and her son, Ben. And yup, Ben is basically mini-Dean, and seeing himself in her boy bubbles up all sorts of father-son issues Dean had with his own dad.

You know what the problem is when you make a pact with a crossroads demon? The demon always comes to collect. Dean learns this lesson the hard way when the one-year lease on his life is up and he has 30 hours left to live in the epic Season 3 finale. So Dean dies. Supernatural is a virtual conveyor belt of disturbing threats and villains to keep the boys on the hunt and at work.

Sam and Dean, guns drawn, enter the ravaged hotel room and follow a bloody trail to the bathtub. She gave her life to save Dean and Sam, and that sacrifice breaks Dean.
