I never queue epic but they will change tol barad if they bring it too. Now its quite opposite. Tol Barad was of great use to the Alliance as an isolated port to prepare military coups… until it was invaded and decimated by the Hoda.
Years later, the nation of Kul Tiras reclaimed Tol Barad, establishing a magical prison in the ruins of the old fortifications to contain enemy wizards, demons, and a host of other deadly criminals.
The existence of such a prison remains unknown to most citizens of Azeroth. After the cataclysm, and with the growing tension between the Horde and the Alliance, everything will change. Tol Barad will once again be a strategic location to amass an unrelenting armada of ships with which to lay siege to enemy strongholds within the Eastern Kingdoms. With both the Horde and the Alliance ready to pay in blood for control of Tol Barad, it is still unknown which of the two factions will emerge victorious from this war-torn island.
Similar to Winter's Conquest, Tol Barad will serve as both a PvP zone in the open world and a hub for both factions to complete daily quests. Accessible via portals in Stormwind and Orgrimmar, or via teleportations of level 85 mages, Tol Barad will accept up to 80 players per faction to engage in brutal combat across the island's surface.
Unlike Wintergrasp, Tol Barad will not have Tenacity buffs. Instead, the queuing system will attempt to match each side at a rate of 1 to 1. Battles will take place every two and a half hours, giving the attacking faction a chance to claim the territory. Tol Barad will have a point capture game mode.
There are three fortresses and three towers that the attacking team must defend. If destroyed by the attackers, each tower will add five minutes to the standard time of 15 minutes. However, to win, all three fortresses must be captured and controlled by the attackers. If the strongholds cannot be taken by the attacking team, the defending faction will win at Tol Barad. The Tol Barad zone plays out like Wintergrasp. There are seven discrete points of interest, with Baradin Hold at the center of the island and three destroyable towers and three capturable buildings surrounding it.
Battle lasts for 30 minutes with a minutes cooldown period. The victory condition is capturing all three buildings at the same time. Whoever has more players near the flag gains control of the area, much like in Wintergrasp and Eye of the Storm. Points of Interest, circling clockwise around The Darkwood from the north:. Post away!
